Well, we finally identified the axle. So, while the donor truck is a 1978 Dodge and rear axle is a 1978 Dodge, the front axle is a 1973 Dodge. This is the problem.

The builder used 35 spline outers. Now, we've learned that there are no hubs made for this set up.

So, it looks like we've got two option:
1. Go back to the old 30 spline (stock and smaller) outers
2. Change the nuckles, spindles, etc. to something newer.

Option 2 sounds better but... What donor axle should we look for?

Also, are drive flanges an option?

Are the hubs external or internal mounting style. Donor axle(if open knuckle) would be any 79-86 GM one ton truck or same in dodge. They do make 35 spline drive flanges for the internal style hub.

So, all I've got to do is find a donor 60... hmmm... would I be better of buying the parts new?

Thanks Paul.

If they are internal hubs I know Warn makes 35 spline ones. They just don't really advertise them. I can get the part # if you want.
