88 Dodge on a 79 J-10???

I friend has a 88 Dodge Ram with a 6in. lift. He said he would sell his set-up for a couple of $100. But will it work is another question? My 79 J-10 set-up looks the same but it is really hard to tell. I can get a 6in. Rusty lift for around $700. But my friends would be a lot cheaper. He said he was going to get a 12in. lift!! I will still hook-up, I've got a granny gear!!!!!!!

Well, measure the springs eye-to-eye, and check the offset of the centering pin. I'd be shocked if they were EXACT replacements, but who knows, they may be close enough to work.
