Looking for a good carb/intake combo, but not for a lot of money. One question abt intakes though, do they have all the same connections (ie vacuum etc.)

The most common for our FSJ's seems to be the Edelbrock Performer with a Edelbrock or Carter AFB ( Both basiclly the same) 600 CFM with manuel choke or the 625 emissions model with electric choke. The 625 is jetted a little leaner to help with emissions. There are a lot of other combo's out there so get what you like the sound of(ching ching) best and put it on.

The best bet I would guess, would be the performer setup, I don't
think the EGR model is still avalible so the polution police may not
like it, if that is a concern.

Mike D.Summit shows an EGR model available. Part # EDL 3731
Would anyone have them cheaper? They want $232.95 Jegs wants $232.99. I guess if they are close to the same price I would prefer good cust. service.

Put a factory 4 barrel intake on and spend a little extra money for a good/new carb. I personally run a Holley 650 vac secondary on a factory cast manifold. Good power and cost was under $300.00 . And you can most likely pass emissions.

I don't think I have to worry abt emissions yet... So thats not a factor.

If you want the least expensive alternative, and don't want to go back to the 2150, then buy a Holley 2 bbl 500 cfm carb. It bolts directly on, and is easily adaptable to the Jeep. It's a night and day difference for performance.
The cost of the carb is about $200, give or take a little bit, then taxes, of course.
