I know at least one person will say BOTH and you know who you are smile.gif

But for those who want 4"-6" lift max, what are the pro's and con's of each?

To be fair, if it's SOA, you will be doing the welding and fabbing yourself and it must include a set of new springs to replace the 15-20 year old stockers...

...the Skyjacker kit will also be DIY with new springs at all four corners.

Well a lot of people prefer the old springs.. the are flatter and have more flex to them.. thats the downside to the Softride.. they are going to have WAY more arch and are going to be a rougher ride and not flex as well.. but even if you did get new springs with the SOA I would think it would flex better and ride softer thent he Softride just due to the flatter springs..

SOA and a shacle flip and new perches in the rear. I wish I had done it first and I think the ride will be much better (softer) with the old springs. And than you can always ad lift spring later!

Daily driver: Buy a lift kit and walk away. Most people that drive their rig daily will like the fact the lateral support and easy install that leaving the front axle spring under gives.

Wheeling rig: CUT IT UP! If you're serious about trail performance and articulation, spring over for the front is a must. Plus, if you have the fabrication ability, you can set up your high steer and all that goes with for less than the cost of lift springs. If you're paying to have it done, that's a different story!

SOA would be much cheaper than the Skyjacker lift for sure.... if you have the fabrication skills....

Here is RB flexin' in the same spot with 4" Skyjacker and SOA :D

243,

The Skyjacker SUA is a good ride and flexes well...

I think (from experience) the SOA flexes much better than SUA... it even road smoother than the SUA....

I ran the stock rear shaft for over a year with SOA and 4" lift.... I had no problems....it was almost maxed out but ran fine for me.... front needed to me modified for sure....
