Any of you guys use a spacer under your carb for more power? I been reading my new Summet catalogue and finding lots of cool stuff...

The thing with spacers is that they don't really make more power. They redistribute it. The taller the air column, the higher up the Rpm band the power will be. I played with using a spacer on my Buick. It was a 2" spacer, and you could feel a difference off the line, (boggy) but it had a bit more power in the midrange. If you've got a need to move the power curve around, go for it. Watch out for your linkage and stuff being spread out from the extra height tho.

I put a 1/2 inch phenolic spacer between my intake and the carb. More for insulation properties than anything else though.
