I think Pete (CJ) says he always replaces a couple of bolts with stud when pulling and replacing an intake.
Which ones are best to do and what size are the studs/bolts? Any washers used with the nut?
Thanks,
Daniel

Front passenger/ rear driver. If your heads have been milled then you will have a horiible time getting it on. Most people I know end up stripping bolts......
FYI always have heads "angle milled" always....Other wise it is hell to pay.
What's the benefit of using studs? Do you attach something else to them?

I use the Studs to hold the Fiber MR Gasket intake gaskets, as I do not like the Valley Gasket. These gaskets are a bit thicker and it makes it hard to start the bolts as the holes do not like to line up. I thread studs in several holes on each side and pull the intake down with nuts and then use the bolts in the remainder of the holes.
