what is the length of stock FSJ shackles? I just bought a set of used Bell Tech lowering shackles for a chevy truck and I believe they are 8" from bolt to bolt... how ugly is my steering going to be? this is a mostly off-road vehicle with full hydro, but I would like to be able to go 45-50 still.... am I going to have to make caster corrections or will I be okay?

I think eventually I will just go shackle reversal with all new mounts and longer front springs that will move the front axle forward a bit... that way I can have more droop, smoother approach and more room for tires...

Dude!...8"! That is WAY longer than stock. Stock is 3.25"
I figure the caster angle will be poo, but there is only one way to tell for sure....

That sounds way to long!!!Why not get a set of stock chevy shackles. They will give alittle more lift than the stock jeep ones will with no funky changes in drivability.

I would stick with the stock Chevy ones, they give about 3/4" of lift, and not screw up the caster too bad.
