727/203,doubler?

I have just been given a mind 80's Wagoneer that has a 727 in it and I already have a parts Ramcharger with 727/203.

I would like to know what I need to do in order to put that 203 on a'79 Wagoneer that has Dodge 1ton front/rear so I can run a 203/205 set up.

Has anyone here used a Jeep 727 that has been converted to passenger side drop 203...?

I am hoping all that needs to be done is switch the tail of the transmissions to acomplish this.

Any help would be great!

It sounds like you have all the parts to be able to tell ;)
1) spline counts the same? (most likely 23 spline for both)
2) adaptor length is the same?
yes:
a. then is the stick out length the same?
b. if so then the adaptor is probably a direct bolt on

no:
a. then you will need to swap the adaptor and the tail shaft

3) what do I know, I run manual trannies. :D

I swapped in the shaft and adapter for mine, but if the adapters are the same length then all you have to do is swap them. Dennis
