timing gear

Called local parts man about a gears and chain he said they had half in. and five-eights, whats the difference, rollers and non or what.

Call a different parts guy....as far as I know... the timing sets are standard and double roller.

the chains come in 1/2 and 5/8 width link as do the gears both are good for 65,000 miles so it dont matter most trucks ran the 5/8 the fuel pump will clear both

I didnt get asked that when I bought mine... just standard and roller....interesting...
