The throttle cable in the 78 took a dump and decided I wanted to swap it out in 100+ degree weather.   So I go to the trusty parts 77 and the whole pedal assy. is different! What I need to know is if the cable will swap to the 78? TIA!

The 78 has an approx 4" square box mounted on the firewall that the pedal pivit comes off on and mounts 2 screws low and 1 above. The 77 has just normal looking brackets but 1 screw low and 2 above. The kickdown wiring is also on opposite sides if that helps any. I was just hoping someone could let me know if the cable will work before I go out and find out the hard way it don't.
