I was told today (by a VERY good looking young woman, who seemed to know ALOT about FSJ's) that Chevy suspention and axles wer all moste a direct swap with the '78 Wagoneer!?!?
Any truth to that? Any one done it, or seen it done? And if so what years, and what parts?

Not sure about the fronts, but the backs will take some fabrication. I used 96 chevy 1/2 ton rear springs, and they are like 5-6" longer than stockers. So one of the rear mounts have to move. If your doing it with an axle swap, just go with a shackle inversion, and move them accordingly. This will net you some serious lift though. You would need a SOA front and at least some 44044 front springs to match. I did the chevy's and sit about right with the front setup mentioned above. All this with 3/4 ton axles though. I would assume if you did a 60 rear 44 front axle wise, it would be alittle lower cause the 44 is smaller. Dennis

Front springs are just about the right length to work, but the bushing is wider and needs to be trimmed down.

The rear springs (from a Blazer, at least) are actually a bit too short.
