It looks like since my tailpipe fell apart from the muffler to the back, I'm going to go ahead and re-do the entire system. What I I'd like to do is break the Y pipe and run dual exhaust down the same side until I clear the gas tank. Obviously the driver's side will then be a longer distance than the passenger side pipe. Will this cause any problem? I'm thinking of going 3 inch from the re-worked Y-pipe all the way to the back and fishtail the pipes right before the bumper where the body contours upward. I decided against the whitney exhaust because I like the idea of everything fitting above the frame-rail. http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

try a dual inlet cat, 2-1/4", with dual outlets (same as inlets), and try it without mufflers first. if its too loud put some muffs on it. or a dual inlet cat with a single 2-1/2" outlet. too large on the pipes will give you more hp at the high end, but you will loose torque at the bottom, which is where these things like the uumph. really, unless you have a tricked out engine that likes to run above 3k, you dont need or want more than a single 2-1/2" system.
