My 1978 Wag I sagging on the right side and is looking pretty sad. I've read over the numerous comments on the Add A Leaf kits finding mostly negative results. Is this true with the long or short kits. IF I go with BJ's or Rusty's 4 inch kit what do I need to complete the setup?

I think new springs are much better than AAL's myself. If you're on a budget, AAL's will give you lift but at the expense of ride quality and suspension flex, not to mention you'll still be riding on 26 year old springs plus you'll still sag to the right. I've got BJ's lift, it comes with 4 new springs, extended stainless steel brake lines and new shocks. The only other thing you might need is a drop pitman arm, you might not even need that, some do, some don't. I bought one but haven't installed it yet and mine drives fine without it.

Go with a new lift system.... AAL's just band-aid the problem.... you'll be much happier in the end...

yea, get BJs 4" lift. The only thing extra you'll need is the DPA. I'd consider it a necesity, but 89 is right, some rigs can do without it. The AAL will start to sag again and you'll be back where you started in a year or two. a full 4" spring kit is a much better use of money since it will ride a lot better, flex better and last longer.
