I had a part time conversion done a by a previous owner years ago (1988) and new chain back then. I want to know should i bother getting warns or milemarker hubs for the fron dana44 to "complete" the part time or just leave it alone ?

is this transfer case similar to the np203 in the sense that if you unlock the hubs and run part time do you need to lock the hubs in once a weekt o lubricate the internals of the transfer case some how or is it completely different in nature ?

If you want true 2wd you can install the hubs. It won't make a lot of difference in mileage but it may save wear and tear on your front driveshaft and axle.

I would think locking the hubs and putting it in 4wd once a month would be sufficient to keep things lubricated.
