Hey Guys, need some help.
Since lifting the 89 Wagoneer, and driving it for 6 months I have developed a vibration and suspect the front drive shaft. Since lifting 4" skyjacker has increased the angle I am assuming this has stressed the Ujoints.
Who makes driveshafts with universals that can handle the increased angle or whats the fix so I can just do it myself.
Thanks

DO you not have a cv joint already? First off, is it full time fourwheel drive?

Years ago, I replaced the front driveshaft on a '77 Blazer with one from a company called Six States Distributors, or something like that. They custom built a drive shaft, quickly, and got it to me fast too. It wasn't too expensive (wasn't what I'd call cheap either). They advertise in the back of off-road magazines. If you don't have a local shop that can make one, I recommend these guys.

I found these guys http://www.arizonadrivelines.com/

Looks like they can make a drive shaft for anything.

I guess what I am looking for is someone with more experience in lifting vehicles than I - to tell me if I need to put a cv joint in or not, may just replace the U-joints and see how long they last.

A LOT of people have bought shafts from Arizona Drivelines (also know as Driveline solutions, and some other names) There was a whole post on this so if you do a search you can read the story.. The readers digest version says there are two guys that work there.. one guys makes good shafts (and everyone on this board that has a shaft made by them has delt with that guys) then there is another guys who makes CRAPPY shafts... so check out that post to see the names... another good guy to go with is www.highangledriveline.com (http://www.highangledriveline.com) the guys name is jesse i believe and he makes some pretty kick arse shafts and all the pro's out here in the west use his shaft... and he is supposed to be resonable priced and competitive..

GOOD LUCK! ;) :D

BTW... the above shaft is for sale in the correct forum :D

You dont need a CV with Skyjacker 4" lift. but it doesnt hurt.

I ran the 4" skyjacker for 4 years now on two different FSJ's with not driveline problems to note....
