Quite a few Scout guys use rancho 44044 lift springs when doing SOA on Scouts. They are a waggy lift spring. They report great ride and flex. they also talk about stock 5 and seven leaf waggy springs with the 7 leaf giving a better ride and flex. I don't see very many J trucks in the boneyard, but I just found 2 of them. A early 70's 1/2 ton with drum front, and 60 SF rear, and a later mod J20 with 2 very thin leafs on the front.
I read a thread that the J20 springs give a poor ride, do they flex poorly also? In a SOA?
I couldn't find any threads here talking about the rancho springs, skyjackers seem to be prefeered. Do you guys dislike the Ranchos?
Do the 7 leaf five better ride and flex than the 5 leaf?
I am looking to go SOA, but minimise my overall lift. Looking into Jeep stuff rather than Scout because the longer Jeep leafs allow us to move the front axle forward for less wheelwell trimming.
Now tell those CJ guys to leave our 44's alone smile.gif
