so i'm lookin at edelbrock carbs and i see that #1406 and #1405 have one big difference: electric vs. manual choke. i'm thinking i should get a manual choke, but where do i mount the control, how is it operated, and is it cheaper?
thanks

Manual choke as in cable operated. You can pick up a generic choke cable kit for about 8.00 at any parts store. I mounted mine between the passenger vent knob and glove box. The 1405 has different rods than the 1406 to make it perform better. The 1406 has rods to make it have better fuel economy, if there is such a thing smile.gif The electric choke upgrade if you get the 1405 and want it later costs about 60.00. Or if you want to go with the elect choke 1406, you can get the calibration kit to juice up the rods a bit like the 1405, can't remember how $$. :D
