I currently own a 1983 jeep wagoneer. I am 18 years old and want a good off roader. I currently have the body off the frame for repair jobs to the frame. I also am puttin fuel injection on her.
Now i have ordered a 4"suspension lift but i don't think that is going to be enough for what i want to do. i wnat to be able to run 33" without any problems. so i think i am goin to put a 2" body lift...is this what i should do...if so where do i get polyurathane body lifts...cuz i need the body mounts to so i think they make the body mounts that also are body lifts...if you know of where i can purchase them i would appreciate it...
and one last thing if anyone has a picture of there jeep with the 4 in lift and 2 in body lift i would love to see it thanx ;)

to run 33's on a NT with a 4" your gona either have to trim the fenders or get a 3" body lift. A 2" *MAY* be enough, but may still rub in back. I have 33's on my NT cherokee with 4" front and about 5.5" in back, and I had to trim 1.5" from the fenders.
4" suspension
2" body lift
33's
still needed fender trimimg...

wow....that looks really good
i hope i can eventually get mine to look like that..now what do i need to buy? do i buy body mounts and body lift or do they come together?
For an 83, just buy the BJ's or Rusty's 4" suspension kit, if you want to trim the fenders.
If not go for their 6" suspension kit.
Body lift for mine is home grown .25" x 2" steel blocks.
For a body lift just do the...

...and buy your own bolts.
It's a bit faster and simpler.

I ran a 4" Skyjacker lift and 3" body lift with 33x12.50's on 15x10's with 1" trimmed on the rear... never rubbed...
Here is an old pic of the above lifts and 31's

i think anywhere.. www.4wheelparts.com (http://www.4wheelparts.com) probably has them...
but I think you should go for suspension and cutting rather then the lift pucks.... just my opinion though... but opinions are like excuses and excuses are like you know what....

Is that Danville VA??? If so we will be be nieghbors before long. I have some land 10 miles south in NC. I used to run 36"s with 4" of lift if you are willing to trim if not the others have you covered.
My suggestion is to trim fenders and NOT get a body lift. Optimal is just enough lift to run the tire size you want and no more... to keep the center of gravity as low as possible. You can easily run 33" tires on a 4" lift with some minor fender trimming in the rear. I ran 33's, a 3" (three) lift and WT axles on my 4 door Wag. All it needed was some fender trimming. No rubbing under full flex.

here's my 2 cents worth (with pics) on 31s and 4" of lift. but this is a primarily a daily driver with good trail capability, NOT a dedicated wheelin' rig. best of luck to you new kid on the block.
