Where can I find new spindles for the 75 Waggoneer front D44 (disk brakes) - other than ebay or a junk yard?

Is there such a thing as a drop pitman arm for the D44 rather than going through the expense of flat-top knuckles?

Warning! I'm only half remembering this, but I believe that spindles from a Chevy 1/2 ton D-44 of the same era are a direct swap. I can't swear to it, but I think I'm in the ball park. Those who know will certainly add their experience ...

There are several places to get 4" DPA's, like Rusty's or BDS suspensions. I am sure there are others, but I have only heard of the 4" versions being available.

Hope this helps!

You can get a 4" or 6" DPA check out http://www.partsmikeparts.com

I am not sure, but do the chevy spindles have the same size tie rod hole (tapered) as a FSJ?

Sorry guys, but what I'm really interested in here is a source for these parts - new.

I know Ford Danas used the same spindles up until ~1993 (F100 & F150 only), so junk yard replacements are plentiful, but finding new parts has been somewhat arduous. Most junkyards I've been to had spindles with pits in them - some minor, others quite aggregious. I'm not thrilled at the prospect of using new bearings on pitted spindles... I just figure: at some point these spindles are going to go bad and I would like to get new ones....

Thanks for the input, though!

I thought you could still get the Chevy spindles new somewhere, if I find 'em I'll edit the post with the info.

Maybe Sam's off-road,

They build complete axles.

Still looking for a source of new spindles. Can't seem to find them anywhere. Where do you guys get them if you break one - the junk yard?
