Im going to take a look at a set(4) of 33x12.5x15 BFG mud terrains tomorrow. The guy is asking $375 obo. he said the have about 3000 miles on them and still over 1/2" tread depth. They were on his cj and hes getting rid of it for parts. What is the starting tread depth on these? I have never purchased used tires and would like some bargaining advice. I appreciate any input.

if they only have half tread then they are only worth half cost. Which new ones are about 155 each or so which comes out to 310 bucks total for all 4. So I spose 375 isnt to bad. Although personally I wouldent do it.

They are not half tread, just 3000 miles on them and still 1/2" depth on the tread. I was going to offer $325 since it is obo. and go from there. just trying to get some help here for a starting point. Thanks all!

The BFG MT's I had on a CJ years ago had almost 1" of tread when new, so having 1/2" left after 3000 miles sounds suspicious. I put a good 15K miles on mine, and they really didn't wear very much at all... when I sold the thing they still had close to 3/4" inch or so left.
