newbie quick question

Just bought a 90 grand wagoneer; a little rough on the paint but seems to be running great. Only one problem. Do these seats in these things recline?? I've got the power buttons on the seat that seems to move it every which way, except letting me recline the seat back?? Am I missing something here. Any help appreciated and what a great site!!

First welcome to the forum.And no they don't recline.The one thing you'd think a near $30k(at the time)would have.

If they DO recline, it means the welds in the seat-frame have given way. That has happened in the Wagoneer Limited seats I've bolted into my Cherokee, so I'm looking for replacements.

yeah the right side of my seat kind of leans back.. but I believe it is just that something has given way.. kind of gives me that laid back look... haha

I solved the laid back problem by bolting the cherokee seats into the j10. Now, they only lay back so far!

Apparently there is an errant spot weld from the factory on the seat frame that causes the seats to recline to one side. Grind off the weld and your seats should do better.
