I would like to install my front D60 with
spring over and net a 4" lift from stock
height. The OEM front springs look like they
would provide about 6" of lift if I use
them as they are. I have heard that some
Chevy trucks used front leaf springs that
had a slight negative arch and was wondering if
these might work on a '79 Cherokee. Anyone
familiar with these or something that would
net me about 4" of lift and flex well. It looks
like a longer spring might fit up there also
and moving the axle forward a little might help as well. Looking for good info and or pics if
anyone have found a sweet setup on a FSJ SOA
that works well without too much lift. My front
axle is a Dana 60F from a 1977 K30 with 69"
WMS-WMS. I'm using Hummer rims with 7" back spacing. The front axle is already set up for
SOA perches since that is how it was in the K30.

The chevy springs will also move the axle about 1" forward IIRC, not really sure how much it would lower it.
