Attention trivia junkies!!!I was playing with some numbers, and I've been using 360 as the CFM for a Moto 2150. I'm pretty sure that is somewhere near correct. I know that CFM on a Quadrajet can be 750 or 800. I can't find my notes for the CFM of just the Primary side of a Quadrajet. There is a reason that I ask this, so does anybody know what the CFM of the primary side of a Quadrajet is? TIA

Q-jets are 750 cfm.. the Edelbrock one is 795.
Rochester made both 750 and 795 cfm versions of the Q-jet. Edelbrock bought the tooling rights from Rochester and also makes both 750 and 795 cfm versions. I run the 795 cfm Edelbrock Q-jet #1904 on both my Buick powered V-6 & V-8 Jeeps. They work great when properly set up. I've never seen a cfm rating for the primary side, but I'd wager it's less than the Motorcraft 2 bbl.

I'd guess it's in the 260-275cfm range, but it's hard to compare to the 2150 because 2-bbls are measured at different vacuum-drops than 4-bbls. Those primaries ARE much smaller than the 2150's, though, and the air-door on the secondaries will only flow what the engine can use (as long as the tension spring is properly adjusted).

Actually Edelbrock buys the carbs from Webber, who got the tooling when they bought out the bankrupt Carter, who used to build some Q jets for GM. There are both Carter and Rochester Q jets out in the world and they do not take the same rebuild kits. There was prolly some licensing involved in allow Edelbrock to market them as Q/jets.
