Can anyone tell me the minimum (collapsed) and maximum (extended) lenghts for shocks that come with a 4" lift kit such as Skyjacker, Superlift, BJ's, etc.?
I want to buy a set of Edelbrock's new extended shocks w/external reservoir, because my current IAS shocks are extended to their maximum length with just a 2" lift. I'm pretty certain that these shocks are inhibiting my suspension travel and creating a kocking noise when I hit bumps.
Thanks.

C'mon, fellas! Nobody has an extra shock for a 4" lift kit laying around?

I don’t have an extra shock laying around, but I did grab some specs from the parts books.
Trailmaster (these are what I am currently running)
Front PN 72520 – collapsed 14.14” Extended 23.20”
Rear PN 72510 – Collapsed 15.67” Extended 26.20”
Rancho
Front or rear PN 5118 – Collapsed 14.0” Extended 22.25”
I hope those help…obviously it is not an exact science, but from these numbers, you should be able to get a general idea.

15" collapsed... 25" extended were my Skyjacker Nitro's on my 4" Softride... installed length was 20"

Good parts #s Jode. I wonder why there's a difference in frt and rr lengths on the Trailmasters since I was under the impression all four corners would use the same shock as Rancho indicates.
