Hey guys,
Been thinking about bumpers lately. Originally wanted a short little stubby thing that hugged the front as close as possible and stayed out of the way. After seeing Andrew's roll over video, I'm thinking BIG, wide bumper that can protect in the event of a roll over like his did.
One issue though, how far should I space the front of the bumper so that I have adequate space to mount a winch? In other words, from the rear of the bumper below the grill, to the front of the bumper, how deep should it be? Haven't bought a winch yet, that's still open. Probably be 9000 lbs unit though if that helps.
Thanks!

I just got back from 4-Wheel Parts with specs on the Warn 15000 winch. the winch is 25.2 inches wide X 8.5 inches deep X 10 inches tall. I don't know about the other sizes. Hope this helps.

I can measure mine, it's as close to the grill as absolutlely possible. I designed it like that in the name of approach angle. If you run one of the Warn style winches (ala 9000, 9500, 8000, etc) then my measurement should be just right for you because that is what I had to design my bumper around. I had to notch my grill in one little place to get the winch to slide all the way back but the Rhino grills look like they are more flush than my grill. I'll be at my shop tomorrow evening so I'll get the measurement then.

Andrew, that would be really cool to get a second measurement, just to make sure.

Warn's website (http://www.warn.com) has all the mounting and size dimensions.

My winch mounting plate is exactly 7in wide and mu bumper sticks out 10in from the truck. I basically made everything as close into the grill as possible.
