Got pics, whatcha do...?
Weld in a longer bolt to run two shocks of the same tower and fab a couple mounts on the spring plate?
Ran a search and didn't come up with any write ups, just plans to do it.
Did read where there was once a factory option on the J truck, anybody got pics of that?
Thanks

Most people on this board will prefer single shocks since it offers less resistance and a smoother ride. For rock crawling and good old trail runs it's really not necessary to run duals. You only really need dual shocks if you're moving quick, since they have to absorb a lot more energy and the shocks turn it into heat. They'll overheat if you run them too hard, that's why some guys run duals, to distribute the load. Anyway, not sure what kind of wheelin' you do but I'd say go with a nice set of single shocks for most appications and stay away from duals...unless you're going Baja racing! :D

Well, I'm keeping my J20 springs to manage added weight from winches, bumpers I'm planning on and most of my shock absorbtion is going to be handled by air down 40X17 Ground Hawg tires. Running long travel Explorer shocks and will fit revolvers for articulation that I don't have with stiff springs. Guess I'll try out the single shocks first and see how they handle the big tires.
