I need an accurate measurment from the flat spot behind the seat of a J or chero, to where the headliner is. Im trying to get my cage lined up to the proper hieght, but I want to go just slightly lower than the stock headspace. Also, if you could do one like right below the steering wheel, up to the headliner, that would be great. Thanks, Dennis

I'll get those measurements from a 76 J10 as soon as I get home tonight.
I'm sure someone else will have helped by then, but I guess it's always good to have a range to compare (models, years, etc...)

Measurement through the steering wheel from the carpet to the headliner is 44”.
Measurement from the back edge of the flat behind the middle of the seat to the headliner is 42.50”
Hope that helps.

So would assume the carpet and pad make up maybe 1/2" and headliner to steel roof is another inch. So somewhere in the neighborhood od 46" from steel to steel in front of the seats? I think I could do my cage alittle lower, but Im almost 6'4", so I think I may stay close to stock heighth
