in terms of strength and things like that? I know Andrews rig (Rockjeep44) used 2inch. but i was thinking of doing something similar but with some more triangles, so maybe 1.75 would be better

i would go with 2" just b/c of the shear weight these monsters have. if you plan on keeping this rig for awhile and are probably gonna flip it on it's lid a few times, i'd want the beef personally

I'm with Nick Rob. You're going to have a 360/Tranny of your choice/203/205, a set of Dana 60s, some 39.5s, a heavy frame and body under you. Then when you roll it, you'll have all that on top of you, and that stuff adds up quick. Go with 2" and have the satisfaction of some real beef in your cage to match the rest of the Jeep.

i've been kicking around the same question... i've got to decide which die set to get... 1.75" or 2" ... and the 1.75" die seems more useful to me... 2" seems too big for anything besides a rollcage..
i'd hate to find out that 1.75" was not strong enough for the weight of an FSJ.. :D ..

I'm going to go with 1.75 but with a Roof... but it's also because thats the size die my friend has for his bender... ;)
