the clips i just added show the rock a little better. I had to take a different line to the right of the rock. thats one of the videos you see of me. might be the first video of me.

Heres a side note, i couldn't make it up the big part of the rock, my jeep was bouncing like crazy because the first day of the trip i found out that my shock mounts were not strong enough in the rear. so both shocks in the back had to be taken off.

looks like you had a little wheel hop and needed more skinny pedal. you look tiny with those big tires on

What on earth is the guy in the passenger seat doing in the first video?

Wade might want a helmet for Christmas, just look at him bouncing around in the cab!

Ah... and what was the point of the Rob2 video?

hmm...

Looks like you really need a rear trac-bar. You had a lot of rear axle wrap/hop on that big rock. An anti wrap bar like the one Andrew had would help a ton (look at your pinion in the video of you climbing, you can see it rotate a whole bunch). May also want to look into lower gars. Doubler or atlas or whatever ;) (I know, I know, its critisism, but I honestly think those would help a lot. I know I dont wheel with an auto, but it seamed like you had to apply quite a bit of throttle to move on those hills, lower gears would help prevent that)

Cool videos, love watching rigs in action smile.gif

MERRY CHRISTMAS....keep the vids comming Rob the rig is looknig sweet and sounds good too.like we were saying. axle wrap was killer cause my shock mounts in the rear broke off the first day, so you couldn't just gas it. plus the traction was rediculous, there was so much of it on that rock.

stuka, i'm doing a 4 link with coilovers so i'll be all set, plus a SBC th400, and np203/205. that auto tranny actually did great. you'd really have to see how steep that was.

which is why the ROB2 video was posted. i just wanted to show how he just tried to slowly crawl and the tires would spin, even though they were all planted firmly on that rock. it was just a "wow thats steep clip"

merry christmas and thanks for the compliments! why don't you guys fetch me a np205 for christmas ;)
