I need to get rid of those **** rock magnets on the bottom side of my front axle. The hanging down U-bolt ends need to go! http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/cfsja/files/Davez%20Cherokee/03160206a.jpg I was able to use squared u-bolts flipped upside down and an axle plate from a Dodge on the top to smooth out the drivers side, but no such luck on the passenger side. The radius of the axle is very large and at two different heights, so I can't do the same thing I did on the driver side. If someone has come up with a way to build some clearance, let me know.   A SOA is not an option. ;) BTW, I'm finishing my ARB install today!!! I just need to wire in the switch, and double check that everyting is tight! Ready to Rock and Roll! smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

One idea is to take a nother spring plate and enlagre the holes enough to fit a 7/8's socket(so you can tighten the U-Bolts if needed) and tack weld it upside down on the spring plate already there. What you are doing is making a skid plate for your ****rock magnets. Dont forget to cut off the excess U-Bolt so that dosent stick through the new skid plate you just made.

I guess this is the whole reason I posted. The obvious answer is usually the one you miss. Unless someone has a better idea, I'll do like you said. I even think I have a couple of the original spring plates in the garage. Thanks!
