For some reason my timing cover is getting holes in the water runner. One on both sides small little pin holes. I tried J.B. weled it worked on one but not the other. Should I pull it and try to weld it, or give up and put my old one back on. My old has lotes of miles. Thanks Larry

If the cover has so much curosion (sp ??) that it is springing leaks
I would get it out of there before it starts leaking into oil pan side
of things.

Thanks I think you are correct, and I`m lucky that my leaks are on the outside. I`m going to put my stock cover back on.
The cover I`m removing is a after market one, which should have lasted longer then 11 years.
O well I`ll just have to ride the M/C to work for a day or two.

WOW!! Timing cover off maybe a good thing, it now looks like time to replace chain, with 1" play on one side and 1/2" on the other. Should replace just the chain @25.00 or replace the gears also. Thanks!! Larry
