I take it you are meaning rear axle. The closest you are going to get is a D60 out of a Dodge.

What about for the front? Are these the same width as the WT axles? SO,then I need flares?

Dodge up to 92. They are the same or close to the same width as WT, you could suck the wheels in possibly with a deeper backspacing. Remember this swap will put you SOA, giving you about 8" lift. Many mods and $$$$

Dont forget that your 88 has a driver side drop front axle and transfer case. And the dodge (and chevy) from dana 60's have a passenger side drop. So you will either need to get a ford drivers drop dana 60 (super uber mega big $$$) or get a new transfer case that has a passenger side front output.

Only big issue I see running a Ford dana 60 is you are limited to 5:38 gear ratio whereas the GM/Dodge 60'd can go as low as 7:17's

v10sport, are you talking about front axles or rear axles? I'd love to get Ford front axles for 100-200 cheaper than I am finding GM/Dodge fronts.

lol Ford High-pinion front Dana60's....cheaper?
na
Jeeps and guns is right, you have a driver side drop diff and t-case. Unless you use a ford front axle you are going to need to source you a new passenger side drop T-case. I would reccomend chevy/Jeep/Dodge NP208's (less of a hastle than other swaps ) , the GM NP241 ,Dana20 or Dana300.
Doing it right always ends up kicking up the cost
but the ear to ear smile when its over is worth it

Picked up 2 Ford HP 60 front for 500 each and another for 700. Never seem them over 800 here. All complete. Cheapest GM 60 I can find is 900 bucks complete.
I'll pick up a Ford HP and trade it for a complete GM 60.

I would give my left nut to find a 78-79 ford high pinion dana 60 front for only $500.
Why dont you send one of those ford HP's down here, PLEASE.
