Was reading the other post ref. gearing.

I will have to gear up to at least 3.73s on Sherman. But, as per the other post, I will have to buy a new m20 carrier. So this has me thinkin' that I should swap d44r out of parts '88GW. Will this be a direct swap....just drop, roll, re-bolt?????????????

If it is, I guess I should re-gear at the same time...HUH??

A carrier is all of 30 bucks or something. Its not an expensive part. And it will be new, no wear on it.

I would keep the AMC20 rather than swap in
a Dana 44. The AMC20 as built for Wags are pretty
good axles.
