Nice pics.
sad to say, I've lived here since 91 and that is the first time I have been over those trails.

you forgot to mention stuffed in the back seat AND soaked on an occasion or two. the rain certainly made it difficult to to be sociable all week ;) its good thing we all had something in common.
great pics Kerry!
so did anyone play in the mud puddle as in years gone by? i dont remember seeing anyone come back with a mud colored rig...

Good shots Kerry! Enjoyed the fellowship and sharing the trails with you and your family!
The only other time I have been up to Imogene, I don't recall seeing water or stopping at the place we did for lunch the other day. There is one other puddle I am aware of that has been fairly dry the last 3 years. It is located where the Engineer and Poughkeepsie trails split. Here is Krista in her dad's 401 Wag in it in 2000... That's ~6" lift SOA setup. When he saw this picture, he said "What did you do to my Jeep?!" :D

We checked out a spot to try and cross the creek and the only place to get up on the other side was only 72" wide. Heime's rig is 77. You would need some serious lift and tires to get up that ledge otherwise.
Right here:

Road, ColeTrickle and I went through but fairly slowly and without much splash. Flint went in twice at a higher speed, once from each direction. Both times though, he had to restart the engine in the middle. He was grinning from ear to ear though ... :D
Flint and Krista, we all enjoyed both of you as well. It was a particular treat running into Krista at the Mesa Verde Museum, as I was sure there was no chance of finding either of you during our visit.

LOL! That first pic of Flint should be sent to Mento's as a reference pic for one of their comercials.
BTW...did that pic turn out alright on top of Imogene? Just curious, I was thinking it be a good one.
Thanks for sharing ;)
Now please give up on the Dixie Chickens smile.gif

Roadgrime, I'm getting together the full sized images of all our flower pic's and will send them shortly - there's only 7.
Kenny, the picture turned out great. Thanks for doing that, it's one of the few we have with us all together.

yep bitter beer, that's a water bottle in my hand, thank u very much. Why was I drinking purified aqua? oh yeah, i was dehydrating!(at least it wasn't Coors Lite!)
Will find some old pics of both water holes if I can find the right 4x album that is hiding somewhere.
Our photos will come back sometime this weekend I hope.
Surprised Kerrys' family could even breath at that altitude!

It's a long way up there for us flatlanders Phil, that's for sure! The first couple days up there it was very noticeable, but by the end of the week we'd gotten a little more comfortable with the complete lack of air.
Thing is that here in Ft. Worth/Dallas, we have about the same amount of oxygen per cubic foot as Ouray does - it's just that the rest of OUR cubic foot is loaded with ozone and particulates. LOL! ;)
