That lake is Clear lake. And Ralph, my son Zachary may be up to that challenge!. He swam the Alpine Lake above Animas Forks last year..... of course if did take about half a day for him feel anything from the waist-down.

Clear Lake is just north of Silverton on west side of Hwy 550. The one above Poughkeepsie is often referred to as Clear Lake, but I don't know the real name...

The Lake at the top of Poughkeepies Gulch between California and Huricane Passes is known as Lake Como...

LOL! I'm copying all these Ouray pics and sending them to a friend of mine.

He's a die hard ricer nerd, and his mitzu eclipse just pooped the bed and despite what he tries to tell me, he doesn't know a tube nut wrench from an impact socket. He's already started ranting about how he's getting rid of his eclipse because the "PO messed it up" and is looking at what to get as a project next. I'm going to get him to buy an FSJ so he'll finally learn what the heck he's talking about when he tries to talk shop. This is going to be funny! :D

Went up there this last summer with some friends on a high school graduation present trip. Did you guys happen to see the rolled truck that was just down the pass from lake como? It was like 1/4 mile down from hurricane pass, near some broken down shed. I have a picture of one of my friends standing on top of it. There was still junk in there too!
