Sally has been playing with her online AAA thing.
Came up with this...

Tucson, AZ to Globe, AZ = 103 miles
Globe, AZ to Show Low, AZ = 86.5 miles
Show Low, AZ to Holbrook, AZ = 47.7 miles
Holbrook, AZ to Chambers, AZ = 47.2 miles
Chambers, AZ to Gallup, NM = 48.4 miles
Gallup, NM to Kirtland, NM = 111.6 miles
Kirtland, NM to Farmington, NM = 8.8 miles
Farmington, NM to Cedar Hill, NM = 24.1 miles
Cedar Hill, NM to Durango, CO = 25.1 miles
Durango, CO to Silverton, CO = 47.4 miles
Silverton, CO to Ouray, CO = 22.1 miles
Total = 572 miles

tadsal...
... That is about 400 mile less than we have to go... Now here is a neat idea... Head east on I-10 to I-35 and then head north on I-35 till you get to my house then pick us up :D sounds easy to me...

--Tad, I just used Mapquest last year. It was even easier than goin' down to AAA.
--Mapquest allowed me to have the road map, topo map and aerial-photo, all in one of those 'trip-tic' formats.
--I have full USGS topos of Ouray and a 50 mile radius, shows all the trails. Map World on NW corner Ft.Lowell and First Ave for those.
--AAA, if a member, has new mapping software for downloading trip maps online. smile.gif

Tad, there's a faster easier way to get there. I'll call you Mon when I'm in town and let you in on it.
Ric, return a call some time.

--Sorry Kev: the phone doesn't ring here, blind spot at the house for a cell. (which I like). ;)
--Next time try 520.579.0078.
--I just discovered in another post that you were making all these trips in advance of a residential move. I just figured you were another FSJ nut-case, drivin' cross country and up and down just lookin' for rust-free Wags to bring up into cold country. ;-0

Anyone wants to go another way, that's fine, we are taking the mellow route.
We are not leading jack, it's just another road trip.

--LOL. I didn't mean to imply that you were leading, Tad, just that I was following...;)
--I took 40 and then 17 thru Phx on the way back. 100 miles additional miles, and the same time as goin up. That was non-stop.
--I'm not interested in a +75MPH trip, up or back. Those were the old days, set aside for the Datsun Z-cars I used to have. ;)

Well I didn't mean to imply, that you meant to imply, that any leadership had been implied, or any other implications directly related to implementing the master plan :D
Chet,
Sally and I once took a 1,000 mile roadtrip and stoped at almost every rest area to take pickures of roadside picnic tables. Don't ask why, we still have no clue  sounded like a good idea at the time.

--as an aside, I'm looking forward to all the write-ups involving Tellico. I have a feeling that they'll have a MUCH different tone than the Ouray event, and personalities.
--I've noticed that the frequency of break downs seems directly related to the amount of mods on a given vehicle.
--With the exceptions of vapor lock and alt-related glitches, which were beyond our control, already the attrition rate for Tellico seems much greater. ;)
--Got stock?

This is gonna be fun!!!
Any others going to join the convoy?
We should be able to hook up with the PHX folks someplace along the way.
