He he he somehow I knew you would like this RB.. (as I put in a recent email to ya) I have a friend that almost purchased a Rhinolining franchise off a guy in detroit for like 8 grand (cheap compared to what he orig payed.. not to mention an almost gaurantee'd contract with the wayne county road commision to do all theyre dumptrucks ect...) what a dumb a*s he should have jumped on it.. (I still give him a hard time cause of that). This urethane lining stuff is the best stuff Ive seen.. (It was orig designed to coat the walls of coal mines to keep them together.. good enough for my wag)think about it.. you dont have to bother making your initial prep all smooth and beautiful. just patch up or repair your rust spots. and prime\paint the area. then go right over it with this urethane. talk about the ULTIMATE undercoating. I dont know if I would do leaf springs but darn near everything else.. (who knows this stuff is really really flexible. a friend of mine that is in the pro Water Culture Farming {ie. Hydroponics} has made large water tanks by using 3 pound styrofoam in large sheets.. pinning them togethor with wire and having them RhinoGuarded inside and out.. I jumped up and down on one of his prototypes.. (I am 6'2.5", 220lbs) and it gave a bit under my weight but didnt break. (ps my friend is a nut in that he likes to try to combine different technologies and make new things. thats how I learned of rhinoguard)(funny thing is the only reason he had the styrofoam rhinoguarded is because the acrylic (urotile) coating he wanted to put on would dissolve the styrofoam. the rhinoguard protected the styrofoam from the acrylic urotile. (this guy grows thousand of tomato plants evey year and used this technology to help him make what he wanted..)
this stuff is also commonly used on industial floors. it is an awesome coating.. I have emailed this company about theyre particular product. and am hoping to here from them soon....

Well I recieved an few sample\chips of this stuff from Cote-L . It was applied to what looks to me to be some coke can thick metal. man this stuff is really strong.... took a bit of doin to scrape a corner of it off the metal (i actually cut the thin metal in one spot trying to get the coating off it). pretty rough texture though. but still its super tough and you can put it on by hand (stucco jeep?). I got the black, forest green, red, and brick red, samples.. its actually pretty glossy under the texture. the brochure said " * Specialty colors extra"

The base price is like $99 a gal. and more for colors. But you dont have to worry so much about a perfect smooth surface like you normally would.. just repair any rust holes and prime em mabye even some paint just to seal it even more, then rough it up and slobb it on there... (ok mabye not slob it on there) it can be sprayed too. I think a really Dark bloody red would be cool as I have the burgandy\maroon colored G.Waggy. the red sample I was sent is just a really good bright red.. looks cool but mabye a little to loud heheh personal choice on that one..
still gonna have to think about this one. but am definatly getting some of the black to cover\preserve my frame and other underside parts\body

I have used this product and it is great. I used it to coat the wheel wells and rocker panels of my '91 GW. It takes two coats for a really good protective coating. I like it so much that I am planning on doing some other areas of the Jeep where rust seems to start. It took just a little over 1/2 gallon to coat the two rear wheelwells and all the rocerpanels. I just followed the line from the rear bumper to across the front behind the front bumper. I am going to do the front wheelwells next and then I am thinking about the hood and other areas. The stuff coats on well and you can use masking tape for the areas that you don't want to get gooped up. You have to remove the tape before the Durabak sets though. I did this just before I was deployed to the Balkans in Dec. and I did not have time to take any pictures but I will be going home in the next couple of weeks and I will try to get some up. Anyway it is a good product from my experience.
