Hello,
Where is the temp sensor on my 1985 6cyl Grand Wagoneer?
My temp guage is pegged on cold...most of the time. Yesterday it came to life a little bit, but not much
in the haynes manual it says it is at the front of the head near the thermostat housing.

If it isnt the gage..check your thermostat, what temp is it? 160, 180, 185,or a 195?
Make sure no debris is holding it open, if something is, that is most likley your problem.

Thanks all. The heater DOES get hot so, does that indicate the thermostat is probably OK?
Also, what temp thermostat should I get?

The temp sensor is located on the driver side of the head, next to the rear-most head bolt on that side. It's just a small brass fitting. Thermostat should be rated for 195 F.
