Anybody here put an aftermarket class III or better yet, a class IV drop hitch on their Grand Wag or 80's FSJ? If so, do you have parts numbers? I desperately need to change hitches. Tired of just running a 2" ball.

have you tried any parts stores such as napa, advance auto, or even walmart? after much checking i found one from advance which is a class III/IV from valley industries. i paid $150.00 for the hitch, not including reciever, ball and trailer hookup. good luck.

I saw one at Wally World last night that looked pretty sturdy for only a hundred bucks. It had trucks listed on the side of the box that it will fit, and of course the old GW was on there. Will this hitch probably fit with out having to do much modification? Will most fit just about anything, or are they truly made to fit?

You can order a class 3 hitch made by drawtite (I think), directly from JC Whitney for $99.
