Ok this is a fairlly narrow question but has any one seen or installed the Summit Bead locks on a set of rims? I know the install procedures and can do that but are they just welded on or are the rims machined to fit the lock. If no one has any experience I might have to buy one and see for myself . Thanx for any input.

Cant give you an exact answer but, used to race quad's and lots of people had beadlock rims.. seems to me that there were two ways to go. add on kits that used a stock rim that you drilled out and made into a beadlock .or rims prepared to be beadlocks (like you say machined\built for it) . the real ones are the way to go. (saw a lot of guys break axles when they went to beadlocks cause they had so much traction after the mod's that it would break the next link in the chain.. the axle) heeh.. good luck
