Hey Dave,
Those sure are some awsome pics of youre restord GW. http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/fsj79w
So, when are you going to give us the run-down of you're restoration project? Or, atleast what modifications you have made concerning suspension, engine, drive train and apperance.
I'm sure I'm not the only one that's excited by those pics, and want to know the details.

I'm working on a detailed spec. sheet Ill post it hopefull by the end of the week.
The engine is a 360 bored .030" I blueprinted it and had it balanced. Forged TRW pistons (9.0-1 comp. ratio by milling block & heads) ARP bolts through out, crank is crossdrilled, etc. Polished side beams on rods and had them resized, Crane hydraulic cam 216/228 @.050", .488"/.512" lift I degreed it in. Crane variable duration lifters, double roller timimg chain.
I spent about 60 hours cleaning up the heads (grinding & polishing) cc'ed the combustion chambers to within .5 cc. Comp Cams roller tip rockers, cromemoly pushrods, custom guideplates, ARP screw in studs, bronze guides, positive valve seals. Valves were ceramic coated.
Ignition system is all MSD with billet distributer, offroad amp & rev limiter, Taylor wires.
Fuel system has a Holley 600 vac. secondary carb. Carter fuel pump, braided hoses & a.n. fittings, Aerotank 29 gal. fuel tank where spare was.
Exhaust consists of Hedman 1 3/4" headers Jet Hot coated inside & out. 2 1/2" duals with Thrush turbo tube mufflers.
Radiator is a 4 core, flowcooler water pump, 16" electric fan, Permacool dual circuit oil/trans cooler with fan, dual oil filters, braided hoses with a.n. fittings. Converted air conditioning to 134.
Trans is a 400 turbo, I rebuilt it using a TCI rebuild kit/shift kit. TCI 11" torque converter.
Trans case is a QT with low range, I installed a part time kit and replaced all the bearings. I also cut the vacuum portion off of the vacuum actuator welded on a extension, threaded it, and hooked a cable up to it, so now I can enguage it by hand.
Suspension has 4" Trailmaster front springs, Skyjacker 4" rear springs, & Skyjacker shocks. And Trailmaster 3" body lift.
Axles are Dana 44 front & rear with 3.73 gears, a Detroit locker in the rear & a True Trax in the front & Warn hubs. Later on im going to get Warn axles for the front & a Warn full floating kit for the rear with disc brakes or maybe step up to a Dana 60 in the rear. Driveshafts are stock for now, once I break them I'll probably go with some custom ones from Denny's driveshafts with 1350 u-joints all the way around.
The body is a 78 wagoneer I found at a junk yard, I cutout 2" out of the doglegs (front of rear wheel wells), tried to make the back of the rear quarter panels look like the front fenders, but it didnt look right, so I welded on new quarter panels. Once I get all the sanding & prep work done Im gonna paint it a Dupont base coat clear white.
I sprayed the interior with something cant remember what its called, its like Rhino Liner but made by Dupli-color, I even sprayed the dash with it & Im also going to spray the inside of the doors. I made a custom panel for the heater controls and moved them to where the clock used to be. And Im going to install Auto Meter street rod guages in a custom panel.
All yea almost forgot Im running 33"x9.5" Buck Shot mudders. Maybe I wont have to make that spec. sheet after all. And thanks for all the interest in my project, cant wait to get it done so I can take it out and break it!

Thanks for the info Dave. Your work is a great source of inspiration to us all. I just wish I had the skills, and money to do what you are doing.
Make sure post pics of the final job. And make sure to give me a call when you're ready to sell it!
