Hey Mark... Just spent the last 45 minutes going thru my history files cuz I saw a company that listed the P/T kit with every option imaginable with prices and couldn't find it!!! http://www.cs.colostate.edu/~zeimet/ubb/mad.gif
Contact http://www.milemarker.com they have a listing of part numbers on the kit with all the options, but no prices. If I find that D%@m link... I'll shoot it to you... thought I saved it in my favorites... but I didn't.
As for the conversion... you can leave it in the rig and split the case after removing the lo range unit and the snap ring under it on the main shaft... Slide the diff, chain and sun gear off in one shot. Replace the center diff with the P/T one in the kit and reassemble...about 1.5 hours I figure....

you will have to completely remove the rear case half.most people ive talkd to that have installed a part time kit have removed the t case to do so.,and theyve all said they wouldnt want to do it with the case still in the truck. ive never personally messed with one,but i think youll be happy with the results.

As Scotty said, it needs to be completely off... probably 5" would be a good guess. And again... it may be easier if it were out of the rig, it is a bit of a bugger getting it back in with just two hands (holding center diff, chain and sun gear together).. but can be done with a few choice verbiages being yelled out a few times along with a couple of deep breathes and little patience. The hardest part of reassembly, that I ran into was the reinstallation of the snap ring over the sun gear on the outside of the rear case which holds it to the rear half. It has a little play in it that causes it to sink into the front half of the case just far enuf to not allow the snap ring to seat. I used a wedge made of wood attached to a coat hanger to fit inside the sun gear splines. Angle it sideways and pull on it, while attempting to seat the snap ring... that's why a helping hand would be useful... http://www.cs.colostate.edu/~zeimet/ubb/biggrin.gif

Being in the Marine Corps....there are some thing that must be done... like standing duty for 24 hours....and.... It's my turn! http://www.cs.colostate.edu/~zeimet/ubb/eek.gif
Plan on rebuilding the 360 for yourself??? Should be ok.. soak it down with oil... she'll be ok.
