My TH400 on my 79 Wagoneer is making a loud whirring noise. I feel i'm piloting a flying saucer. Could it be the torque converter or is this the death howl of the TH400? It gets louder with engine speed. and either stops or is very low when in park or neutral. The fluid level is good. Anyone have ideas.
