O.K............ how 'bout this......

When driving my wag, it starts to shimmy at about 45mph. Its not a vibe, its bouncing up and down. what other than bad tires cause this?

out of balance tire's, belt seperating in one tire flat spot on tire.
That is about it.oh and bad rim can too it it hit a curb hard straight on if it is a metel one.

Thanks Steve. I had considered tires but Wag is under the knife right now. Can't change tires to find out for sure if thats it. I hope so! I was wondering what other things could cause the shimmy. Drive shaft,Univ. joint, bent frame,?
By the way I have two daughters in houston thanks for the reply.

If it sat for a long time the tires will have flat spots on them and do that too.
no prob mine sat for 2 years and the first time i drove it it almost kicked me out of my seat at 40 mph.
cool how long have they been here? and were do they live?

Bad shocks will cause an up and down bouncing. Had that problem on my 73 J4000 right after I bought it. At highway speeds it would bounce (violently) when I hit a bump. I would have to accelerate to drive out of it. Put new shocks on and no more bouncy bouncy.
