I have an 82 Wagoneer Limited with a 727 transmission. The plastic plug that attaches to the neutral safety switch broke off leaving no leads to attach to. Where do you get another one of these things with enough wire to connect to.

Any decent parts store should stock the switch. Last time I got one it was under $12. If you can, use a socket/closed end wrench to remove and install it - the aluminium switch body is weak. Replacing the switch will take 3 minutes max assuming you fit under the truck w/o ramps/jackstands.

Thanks for the reply. I have a new switch. I'm looking for a source on the wiring harness side.

Auto parts store like Pep Boys probably have the plug in the "Help" section. Help has lots of handy little parts like that.

If you can't find a plug by 8/11 let me know. I plan on being at a jukyard then and will get you a plug (probably under $1 - you pay for it and shipping) from a junker.
