I finaly got my hands on a decent BW 1339 and am planning to swap it in for my BW 1305.I was just wondering if any of you had had any problems or know any tricks that may speed up the process. I plan to get a new seal/gasket kit for the 1339 and possibly new chain while I have it broke open. Any recommendations on places to get these items.
Thanks

Steve, I thought that a 1305 was a 1339 w/o low range (any one know for sure?). If so all you needed was the low range unit. It unbolts from the back of the xfer case. But since you have the parts, put in a new chain, add the correct fluid, inspect the sun gear in the low range and the shaft that it rides on. At least you have a supply of spares now. Dean

Yes it is, but the low range unit refurb was $124.00 from JW and I got the whole 1339 for $80.00 w floor shifter($24 at JW). After I pulled it out this afternoon I realized it should go in flawlessly. Also the guy had just rebuilt it a year ago and the chain and gears look fine. So I came out good on this one and now have a spare 1305.
thanks
