Anybody got any good suggestions for what stuff to use when rebuilding a 360? I'm looking for cams, lifters, carb, all that good stuff. My block just got done at the shop so I need to start looking into what I want to use in the next step.

Thanks,
Anthony

Most everyone here likes the Summit (SUM-8600) cam kit (comes with lifters) for right about 100 bucks.

But since you're starting fresh, you may want to go with something more aggressive...

The thing is I can get a kit through the machine shop for like $500. That include cam, lifters, rockers I think, pistons, and rings, and some bearings and stuff. I may decide to go with other stuff if I find some stuff that I like.

Thanks,
Anthony

Is that stuff aftermarket? Or stock/oem? If it's performance parts, then that sounds good! If it's just oem stuff, you may want to upgrade to get some more power.

Spend a little bit now, and save yourself a tear down later...

I think it's probably just stock stuff. I don't know for sure though. I don't plan on keeping this motor forever either. Someday I'd like to get a 401 and build that up for some real performance. The 360 is just a for now thing but it probably will get used in something else later.
