I pulled the oil pump cover to check the gears. Guess what gasket fel-pro does not put in their "complete" gasket set. Local shops do not carry this gasket alone. Do I have to buy a rebuild kit to get the gasket? Surely, someone of you FSJ experts/geniuses will enlighten me as to a material that a gasket can be made from. I have the pattern, but have not found material proper thickness. Someone else must have had to make this gasket.

Good ole cork on a roll, or fiber gasket material should be available at any parts store.. with some thought and carefull drawing (and a good xacto knife) you can make perfect gaskets.
If ya dont find one

You need that gasket. It is a Tollerance gasket. You can not use anything else in its place, as it sets the pump gear endplay clearances. 14.00 to 20.00 for the Kit. ;)

Got the kit. The gasket is .010 thick. If I can find material I will make it. Otherwise I guess I get new gears to. Goody goody... :(
