CRANKSHAFT INSERT ON 360/TH400?YIKES!

JOE said ther's a crankshaft insert on the 360 th400 combo? Oh no now what?
Some one tell me more.

Don't worry man its no big deal. The crankshaft spacer is a little ring of metal in the end of the crank on TH400 equipped 360s. It can be easily removed by chiseling it out so the 727 will fit. Never tried it myself but I saw this somewhere on the internet. Good luck.

Rudy, best way to get it out w/o buggering anything up is to find something that just barely fits into the spacer like a piece of dowel rod whatever. Pack the the hole with grease and insert the plug of your choice and smack it with a hammer. The grease will force the insert out enough to grab it with pliers.
