I need some input from everyone about my idea:
Here it goes... I'd like to put 33x10.50's on the stock 7" aluminum rims on my NT Cherokee.
I am planning on lifting it, but I want to keep it less than or equal to 4"
Awhile ago my friend let me try his 33x9.50's off of his toyota pickup on my 84 Wagoneer. Amazingly THEY FIT with no lift... I wouldn't recommend it, but the thing is they fit inside the back wheel wells.
What are my chances of 33x10.50's on 7" rims fitting inside the rear wheel well???
Could I get away with a small 2.5-3" lift or am I asking for a 4" lift?!
Does anyone actually run this size of tire? smile.gif

I realize that with the front wheels turned and the front spring fully compressed there's almost no way I wont hit the top of the front wheel well. I guess I'm more concerned about the tires fitting inside the wheel well.
It would be nice if somebody stocked this size, that way I could just have them mount it on a rim for me.

with a 4" lift 33's will "fit"...but not if you wheel at all. I have no lift with 30x7's (they arent rated as a 30" tire but thats what they measure out to be) and at full compression up front i grab my fenders. With a 4" lift I wouldent, but if I put 33's on i sure as hell would.
The guys who run 33's here either have trimmed fender, or a 4" lift with a body lift from what I can see. And a few running 6" lifts.

sounds like a good reason for a spring over
(then again, who needs a reason?)

I have 33's and a 4in rough country lift. I've only had the jeep a couple weeks but their is plenty of room. I wouldn't worry at all about rubbing. I've seen a couple guys here running 35's with a 4 in lift. Looks great, but may rub. Theirs a red one with a white stripe like this on the riders rigs page. Hope this helps.

Remember he's got a NT Jeep. With a 4" lift, and 33x10.5's your gonna need to trim the fenders some. You will also need to adj. your turning stops, or you will rub the front springs on a full lock turn.

The only way to run the 33's on 8" or 7" rims and not rub in the rear is a 4" lift and a a 2" bodlylift OR trim the front of the rear wheel well.
Veepster has the 4" Skyjacker with 33's on 8" rims and had to do the bodylift to not rub...he went the 3"... he will recommend the bodylift.

I think you're right... it was a while ago but from what I remember the 33x9.50's... while they did fit inside the rear wheel wells, they were very close to rubbing the side (or face?) of the tire. 33x10.50's would definitely rub.
I guess I could always do a little trimming! That way I wouldn't have to repair the rust in the back smile.gif

Well, I did some measurements of 31x10.50's and 33x12.50's (in terms of height), and also did some measuring of the 8" rims that are currently on my Cherokee, and also the 7" rims and I now have myself convinced 33x10.50's will work, and will even fit inside the rear wheel wells.
When I do finally get some tires I'll let you all know what happened!
